What does INÙ mean?
I N U means dog in Japanese, much like your - Shiba Inu meaning Brushwood dog. We picked the name as we are continually inspired by Japanese grooming aesthetic and attention to detail. We bring that approach to all our dog clients, paying individual attention to each & providing the utmost care.
Why choose INÙ Grooming?
We’ve got up to 7 years in the pet industry and are fully qualified with City & Guilds Grooming qualifications. We pride ourselves in working both on behaviour & training during the grooming process and providing the best possible and individual care for your dog.
What areas do you currently cover?
We no longer do site visits sadly, we can however recommend in-house groomers who are local.
However, our current location has free on street parking on our road.
Why is an in-van groom better?
We only groom 1 on 1 with your dog unlike in retail shops or unit. Our van grooming area is consistently cleaned after each groom & is a small compact but homey space.
Why the specialism in Spitz?
As a Co-Founder of a Double Coated Breed Specific London club and community (with over 200 members and growing) & a long time owner of Spitz breeds, we realise many groomers don’t know how best to cater for double coats. This can usually lead to damage in the dog’s coats, incorrect deshedding and possible shaving which can cause alopecia long term.
How much is the charge for matted dogs?
We charge between £15 additional upon your groom price for matted dogs - this can increase depending on the extent of matting & size of the dog.
Can I stay outside the van during the grooming?
We recommend not staying during the grooming process, although feel free to pop your head in at the end. The reason for this is when dogs spot their owners, they make the assumption it’s time to head home causing a little uproar during grooming!
How long will it take?
This will vary depending on the groom specifics you’d like done. But most appointments won’t take over 2 hours, we will inform you of collection times upon booking.
